Congratulations to finishers of the 2024 5K and 10-Mile Triple Crown Road Races! Information on the March 2024 races is provided below.
- Saturday March 9, 2024
- Three events are offered: 5K, 10-Mile, and Virtual 30-Mile Challenge.
- Net proceeds will benefit Great Oak Equine Assisted Programs in Aiken.
- The 5K and 10-Mile are timed events. Timing service provided Strictly Running.
- The 10-Mile and 5K Courses are USATF Certified (#SC16037DW, #SC21006DW).
- Participants who register before February 18 will receive an event T-shirt.
- Post race refreshments for the 5K and 10-Mile finishers.
- Awards for 10-Mile and 5K (Male/Female divisions):
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
- Packet Pickup
- Friday, 5:00-7:00pm, Alley Downtown Taproom (214 The Alley SW, Aiken SC 29801)
- Saturday/Race Day, 6:30-7:10, Odell Weeks Activity Center
- Race Day Schedule:
- 6:30-7:10 am: Day-of packet pickup
- 7:30 am: Start of 10-Mile and 5K
- 9:45 am: Awards ceremony
- 10:10 am: Road courses close.
- Start and Finish Area: Odell Weeks 1700 Whiskey Road, Aiken SC 29803.
- 10-Mile Participants: Participants will need to maintain a 16 minute per mile pace. Participants who do not maintain that pace will be directed to the side of the course.
- 5K Participants: This is a family friendly event, however participants will need to finish by 10:10 am due to road closures.
- Virtual 30 Mile Participants: The Triple Crown 30-Mile challenge starts on February 3. Registered participants have until March 3 to complete 30 cumulative miles (one mile per day average).

- Registrants are requested to refrain from participating in any of the events if they are exhibiting any signs of illness and/or have been exposed to COVID19, flu, cold, etc.
- Strollers, bicycles, roller skates, scooters, in-line skates, and animals will be prohibited from the course.
- The use of headphones is discouraged.
- Water/aid stations will be located at approximate race distances of 2.5, 4.5, 6 and 8 miles.
- The majority of the race will be run on back streets open to normal traffic.
- There is one portable toilet on the 10-Mile course at 4.5 and 6.5 miles.
- Restrooms are accessible at Odell Weeks Activity Center in the start and finish area.f
WEATHER: Aiken Running Club plans to hold the 5K and the 10 miler regardless of rain, sleet, heat or shine.
In the circumstance the event is cancelled due to weather, Aiken Running Club will not provide refunds or virtual options.

Registration is entirely online at https://www.strictlyrunning.com/ (no registration week-of, during packet pickup, or on race day). Registration will close when the field size reaches 500 combined 10-Mile + 5K participants or March 3, whichever occurs sooner.

Transferring of events: Transferring of events is allowed thru 3/3.
– If you are transferring to a lower price event you will not be refunded the difference.
– If you are transferring to a higher price event you will need to pay the cost difference between the two events.
